We are currently identifying:

Thoughts,
plans, systems in any of these areas;
-
Whether
there are areas covered here which are not perceived as a need,
or areas which are perceived as a need which are not covered
(and if so, why, etc);
-
What
the position is on external accreditation. Is there a need for
a new external body to accredit on-line learning, or should
this be a function of existing accreditation bodies (who just
needs to be encouraged to take this up)? Would a meta-accreditation
system be more manageable (accrediting the accrediters)?
-
Suggested
other contacts and organisations. No contact list is ever exhaustive,
and it is better to have a suggestion made 6 times rather than
never. If you would like to encourage eLearn
Accredit
to contact an organisation or individual who you think should
be included, please feel free to Contact Us at any time.
Next stage to include
- After the November 2002 Virtual Conference, eLearn
Accredit
worked in partnership with the SEEL project (Supporting
Excellence in E-Learning) to run a Physical Conference be in Lisbon
(Portugal) on the 19 and 20 May 2003, attached to the World Education
Market. As well as addressing issues related to quality assurance
for eLearning, this conference was also a springboard for the
various work packages in the SEEL project, including
the Quality Guidelines for eLearning.
- eLearn
Accredit
is now working with the SEEL project (further
details at www.seelnet.org)
to support the development of the SEEL Quality
Guidelines for eLearning.
- The second conference for the SEEL project
will be held in May 2004, again attached to the World Education
Market (www.wemex.com). If
you would like us to send you details as soon as they are released,
please email us on andrew.brown@elearnaccredit.org.
- There will also be occasional online discussions and seminars,
held both through the eLearn
Accredit
website and through the SEEL website. Please
let us know if you would like to participate in or to contribute
to these events, or keep monitoring these websites.
Your
ideas are very important to this process. The eLearn
Accredit
project is about bringing the best ideas together. If you have any
suggestions to make, any ideas to add, any people who you think
ought to be included, please Contact
